Job summary

Day & Zimmermann seeks a Financial Analyst to join the M&C Finance team in Charlotte, NC. You will develop budgets, forecasts, and robust financial models to support proactive decision-making and resource allocation.

You will leverage BI tools to enhance reporting and provide actionable recommendations to optimize costs and profitability. Collaborating with the M&C VP Finance and cross-functional partners, you will contribute to monthly closes, annual budgets, and long-range planning while

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP, Government Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR provisions.
• Ability to assess complex situations, prioritize key financial issues, and interpret variances.
• Proven interpersonal skills with a consultative approach that fosters influence and builds relationships across disciplines.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deliver guidance aligned with contracts.
• Bachelor's degree required to support analysts' responsibilities.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in financial analysis or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of business performance indicators and key operational drivers, communicating insights to partners.
• Enhance forecasting methodologies through data validation, scenario modeling, and trend analysis.
• Assist in monthly closing activities, annual budgets, external audits, and quarterly forecasts with accuracy.
• Champion process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and adopting advanced BI platforms.
• Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects to improve financial visibility and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the M&C VP Finance and stakeholders to align financial strategies with goals and regulations.
