Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking an Analyst for SG&A Planning to support journal entries, consolidations, and monthly financial reporting. The role focuses on accurate, timely financial results and data-driven analysis for internal stakeholders.

You will develop management reports, perform variance analyses, and contribute to process improvements using Excel and planning tools. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years FP&A experience are required, with hybrid work in Irving, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or related financial role.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to build and maintain standard reports and charts.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to create basic presentations for management review.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SG&A journal entries and perform basic reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual report consolidations for SG&A Planning.
• Perform variance analyses versus plan, forecast, and prior year; escalate material issues.
• Support creation of management reporting packages with clear commentary.
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying data issues and suggesting enhancements.
