Job summary

Trustpoint.One, partnering with a leading national law firm, is seeking an FP&A Analyst for a six-month contract to support budgeting, financial reporting, pricing, profitability analysis, and other FP&A initiatives in a sophisticated professional services environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of FP&A experience, law firm or professional services exposure, advanced Excel and SQL skills, and the ability to work independently with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• Experience in law firm or professional services preferred.
• Experience with Elite or Aderant ERP/time and billing systems.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Knowledge of SQL queries and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting for firm, department, and client matters.

Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a leading national law firm in its search for a FP&A Analyst for a six-month contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial analyst to support budgeting, financial reporting, pricing, profitability analysis, and other key FP&A initiatives within a sophisticated professional services environment. Previous finance experience in a law firm is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Support firm, department, and client/matter budgeting, including monitoring performance and analyzing variances.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process, including data preparation and consolidation.
• Perform financial analysis related to pricing and profitability for current and prospective clients.
• Develop financial reports, dashboards, and models to support firm and client/matter performance analysis.
• Analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Support pricing and alternative fee arrangement requests from Finance and Operations leadership.
• Work with legal finance, billing, cost management, and financial analysis systems.
• Assist with process improvements and customized financial reporting.
• Partner with Finance leadership and other departments to improve financial models, reporting, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant financial analysis or FP&A experience.
• Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Elite, Aderant, or another ERP/time and billing system.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Familiarity with SQL queries and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Details:

• 6-month contract assignment
• Washington, DC; Hartford, CT; or New York, NY
• Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• 35 hours per week$38–$50/hour, commensurate with experience
