Shoe Carnival, Inc. is seeking an Analyst I in Financial Planning and Analysis at its Fort Mill, SC corporate office.

You'll support store-level analytics, budgeting, and reporting, gaining exposure to sales trends and financial modeling in a retail environment. The role emphasizes building dashboards with Power BI/Tableau, refining data quality, and presenting findings to both finance and non-finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 0-3 years FP&A or financial analyst experience.
• Proficient Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy or similar) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills—ability to present findings to finance and non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining store-level analytics and budgeting processes.
• Analyze sales and expense trends and identify performance drivers.
• Update financial models for tactical and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare management reporting packages, monthly forecasts, KPI dashboards, and leadership presentations.
• Support annual budget preparation with functional leaders.
• Analyze variances to budget and forecast with clear explanations.
• Support earnings materials and investor presentations.
• Improve reporting processes and automate recurring analyses.
