Job summary

Hach Company, a Veralto company, is seeking an FP&A Analyst in Loveland, CO. This role supports the Global FP&A organization with financial reporting, forecasting, analysis and business performance management.

You’ll partner with commercial teams to translate results into actionable insights and support leadership with budgeting and planning in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in FP&A or related finance, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle large data sets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of FP&A, financial analysis or related finance roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with large data sets.
  • Advanced Excel including pivots, lookups, models, and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; present findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes.
  • Own analysis for bookings, backlog, revenue, gross margin, price‑volume‑mix, and other performance drivers.
  • Prepare standard reporting packages, KPIs, dashboards, bridges, and management review materials.
  • Analyze actual results vs plan, forecast, and prior year; provide concise commentary.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams and business stakeholders on assumptions and planning.
  • Support budgeting, scenario planning, and ad-hoc analyses for growth initiatives.
  • Assist with data quality, reporting automation, and process improvements.

This role supports the Global FP&A organization through financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and business performance management activities. The analyst serves as a key partner in commercial performance reporting, including bookings, backlog, revenue, gross margin, and other business drivers, while also supporting forecasting, planning, and management reporting processes. The position translates financial and operational results into actionable business insights, helps identify risks and opportunities, and supports decision‑making across regional and global leadership teams. This position is part of the Financial department located in Loveland, Co. and will be hybrid.

Typical day activities include:
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes, including revenue, gross margin, operating expense, and key business assumptions.
  • Own recurring analysis for bookings, backlog, revenue, gross margin, price-volume-mix, commissions, and other commercial performance drivers.
  • Prepare and maintain standard reporting packages, KPIs, dashboards, bridges, and management review materials used throughout the month‑end and planning cycles.
  • Analyze actual results versus plan, forecast, and prior year, identifying key drivers and providing concise business‑focused commentary.
  • Monitor backlog conversion, shipment timing, pricing realization, volume trends, and product mix to highlight emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with regional finance teams and business stakeholders to gather assumptions, improve forecast accuracy, and support business planning activities.
  • Support financial modeling and adhoc analysis related to sales performance, pricing, profitability, productivity, and growth initiatives.
  • Assist with annual operating plan, strategic plan, and budget development activities.
  • Work with finance systems and data tools to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and process standardization.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on automation, reporting simplification, and finance productivity.

Month‑End and Reporting Support

  • Support flash and close reporting for bookings, backlog, revenue, gross margin, and other key performance indicators.
  • Prepare performance bridges and price‑volume‑mix analysis.
  • Develop management commentary explaining major operational and financial drivers.
  • Support business review preparation for finance leadership and operating teams.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and timely delivery of monthly reporting packages.

Mid‑Month Focus

  • Financial and commercial trend analysis.
  • Forecast updates and risk assessments.
  • Pricing, profitability, and margin improvement analysis.
  • Backlog‑to‑revenue conversion analysis.
  • Business case support and adhoc management requests.
  • Reporting enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, commercial finance, or related finance functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work with large data sets and complex financial information.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivots, lookups, financial models, and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, or management reporting processes.
  • Experience analyzing revenue, gross margin, pricing, sales performance, or operational metrics.
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion, OneStream, Power BI, Hyperion, SAP, or similar planning and reporting systems.
  • Experience developing dashboards, automated reporting solutions, or process improvements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial, or commercial business environments.

US ONLY: The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue‑based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 USD per year.

This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
