Aston Carter is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join a growing organization in a hybrid environment. The role focuses on detailed P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and advanced Power BI reporting to enable data-driven decisions across a Consumer Packaged Goods organization.

You will build financial models, analyze variances, and partner with sales, operations, and leadership to drive profitability and performance. Prior CPG or product-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• Experience with Income Statement/P&L analysis and communicating financial drivers to leaders.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience including budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed Income Statement (P&L) analysis identifying drivers of revenue, gross margin, expenses and profitability.
• Support and maintain the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting for visibility into performance.
• Build financial models to support pricing, profitability, inventory, and operational decisions.
• Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, supply chain and leadership to improve results.
• Analyze trends across products, customers, channels, and inventory to identify growth and margin opportunities.

Hybrid | Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Environment

Join a growing organization where you'll play a key role in driving financial performance and business decision-making. We are seeking a highly analytical FP&A professional with strong experience in Income Statement/P&L analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and Power BI reporting within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), wholesale, distribution, or product-based environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead detailed Income Statement (P&L) analysis, identifying drivers impacting revenue, gross margin, expenses, and profitability.
• Support and maintain the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting to improve visibility into business performance.
• Build financial models to support pricing, profitability, inventory, and operational decision-making.
• Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to improve business results.
• Analyze trends across products, customers, channels, and inventory to identify opportunities for growth and margin improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-5+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or business analytics experience.
• Strong experience with Income Statement/P&L analysis and communicating financial drivers to business leaders.
• Proven budgeting and forecasting experience, including budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including dashboard development and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and financial modeling.
• Experience supporting a CPG, retail, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, consumer products, or product-driven business strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate financial information into clear business insights.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Chester, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
