Job summary

A manufacturing firm in the U.P. of Michigan is seeking a full-time Foundry Engineer to manage tooling design and production start-up. You'll collaborate with various departments to ensure efficiency and quality, and have the opportunity to implement design enhancements. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and experience using SolidWorks or Creo. Competitive salary ranges from $85,000 to $95,000, plus relocation assistance available up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong tooling background in plastics or metal stamping.
• Work in a general office environment with frequent shop exposure.

Responsibilities

• Determine efficient tooling design and configuration.
• Liaise with production control for job start-up.
• Prepare documentation of new work.
• Track and report progress.
• Communicate with customers and tooling vendors.

Skills

Modeling using SolidWorks or Creo

Simulation experience; MAGMASOFT preferred

Root-cause defect analysis
