Job summary

The Weir Group is hiring a Foundry/Molding Technician in Newton, MS for an onsite, full-time role with a 4-day workweek. The position involves pattern management, sand-mixer molding, crane operations, and solid safety practices, with overtime available.

A high school diploma or GED and basic math and communication skills are required. You will operate molding equipment, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to lean initiatives while maintaining quality and safety onboard.

Responsibilities

  • Pattern management to ensure pattern accuracy for mold production.
  • Mold production using sand mixer, calibrating and maintaining the mixer, and placing cores in the cope and drag.
  • Operate equipment including the pattern handling, overhead crane, and pouring floor; perform shakeout after pouring.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on molding equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area; support lean initiatives.
