Job summary

Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry is seeking a Pour Off Operator for the 2nd shift to draw molten metal from ladles, pour into molds, and ensure safe, quality castings. You will work with the melt shop, prepare molds, and follow production procedures while maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, with duties including equipment handling, adhering to PPE rules, and supporting the manufacturing team as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical and industrial environment.
• Team oriented with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read, write and follow detailed instructions.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draws molten metal from ladle for pouring into molds to make castings.
• Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the area.
• Prepares molds for iron pouring process.
• Communicates with melt shop regarding the temperature of the iron.
• Follows proper production procedures for processing the iron.
• Follow all safety regulations regarding the iron pouring process.
• Collaborates with the manufacturing team to ensure production conformity.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.
• Great work ethic and a desire to learn.
• Clean-up of workstation and surrounding work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
