Job summary

MCCONWAY & TORLEY LLC is hiring a Foundry Supervisor in Pittsburgh, PA. You will manage the day-to-day activities of the core room and mold line, guiding a team to maintain safety and quality while meeting production goals.

This full-time role requires leadership, strong manufacturing knowledge, and hands-on problem solving. Expect to supervise shifts, coordinate with engineering, and drive improvements in tooling efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in tooling maintenance or related manufacturing experience.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to understand and utilize computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and coach machine operators and mold assemblers.
• Hold employees accountable for established policies and processes.
• Support operators and maintenance personnel with troubleshooting.
• Complete required safety, quality, and production paperwork for the shift.
• Communicate issues and elevate them to management as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Inspect and verify pattern and core box work to confirm tooling accuracy.
• Read and interpret foundry schedules to plan daily operations.
• Partner with safety and process engineering to develop standard work procedures.
• Work with design and engineering to improve tooling and processes.
• Implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with tooling and engineering to maintain inventory of critical supplies.
