Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical foundry operations support with process expertise, tooling development, and continuous improvement.
• Lead manufacturing engineering team involved in tooling and/or cylinder liner casting and machining.
• Accountable for value stream goals and alignment with operations on people, quality, velocity and cost targets for foundry and machine shop.
• Recruit and build a strong performing team.
• Lead continuous improvement projects.

Job description

We are looking for someone who can provide day-to-day technical foundry operations support by leveraging processes expertise, implementing tooling development, and continuous improvements to operational safety, quality, efficiency, and cost management.
JOB DUTIES:

• The role will be a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Mapleton Cast Metals Organization.
• Leadership over manufacturing engineering team responsible for tooling and/or cylinder liner casting and machining. Team consists of six direct reports including manufacturing engineers and production non-traditional roles
• Accountable for value stream goals & alignment with operations on people, quality, velocity and cost targets for full value stream – foundry and machine shop
• Responsible for actively recruiting and continuing to build a strong performing team
• Continuous improvement project leadership

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires analytical ability as well as excellent oral and written communications skills
• This position requires a 4-year college degree in an appropriate engineering or technical discipline with 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience, OR equivalent 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience in lieu of degree
• Direct leadership, project leadership, or team lead experience required
• Foundry or machining process experience required
