Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC in Michigan is seeking a Foundry Production Manager to lead the foundry from melting through finishing and drive safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements. You will supervise supervisors and hourly staff, shape production plans, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

This hands-on leadership role directly impacts productivity, quality and profitability while developing a high-performing team and ensuring world-class operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Foundry manufacturing experience required.
  • Experience leading production teams.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
  • Proven ability to improve productivity and operational performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily and weekly production to meet customer demand.
  • Supervise and develop production supervisors and hourly employees.
  • Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Reduce scrap and improve first-pass quality.
  • Monitor production KPIs, labor efficiency, and throughput.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement).
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage raw material utilization and production efficiency.
  • Analyze production performance and communicate results to leadership.
