Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read heat-treat instructions.
• Ability to operate ovens and monitor temperatures.
• Follow safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wear all PPE required.
• Follow all GIW Safety Guidelines.
• Keep area neat, clean and safe.
• Achieve and perform all job requirements in Heat Treat Level 1.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read and understand heat treat work instructions.
• Able to choose the correct oven program (recipe).
• Able to use the controller at the oven and from a computer.
• Start the ovens and roll out when required.
• Lift tip up oven roof when required.
• Able to understand when the oven needs to cool down and then run out.
• Operate quench fans when needed.
• Know when to start second oven cycle.
• Able to use temperature guns safely and proficiently.
• Follow all instructions directed by team leads and supervisors.
