Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a FOUNDRY GRILL SERVER for a part-time or full-time role, with year-round and seasonal openings. Candidates must be available weekends and holidays and be comfortable with the POS system and wine service.

This non-exempt hourly position requires a strong service background, proper permits, and the ability to handle fast-paced dining rooms while maintaining Utah liquor law compliance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Must have High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in full-service restaurant service preferred.
  • Must obtain a food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Set dining room to Sundance standard and prepare sections for service.
  • Handle opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Greet guests warmly and explain daily specials and recommendations.
  • Enter orders accurately in the POS with correct table/seat numbers.
  • Process payments, provide correct change, and log transactions nightly.

Job Title: FOUNDRY GRILL SERVER

Rate of Pay: $2.13/Hour + Tips

Shift: Variable AM & PM shifts

Sunday - Saturday

Part-Time & Full -Time, Year-Round & Seasonal positions

MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure dining room is set and ready for service to the Sundance standard with special attention to assigned section.
  • Complete designated opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance in compliance with health code.
  • Wear a complete, clean, designated, wrinkle free uniform and name tag.
  • Provide wine tool, pen, and bank for the shift.
  • Ensure proper sequence of service is completed for all guests.
  • Warmly greet each guest.
  • Inform of daily specials, signature dishes, and personal recommendations.
  • Enter orders in point of sale system using accurate table and seat numbers to ensure accurate delivery of food and beverage.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of orders and food.
  • Collect payment, provide correct change, and obtain signatures as appropriate for payment type.
  • Submit documentation of all payment transactions and complete a nightly check out with Supervisor or Manager.
  • Exhibit exceptional job and product knowledge to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information.
  • Exhibit self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
  • Complete assigned cleaning responsibilities.
  • Proficiently perform all job duties in a fast pace environment.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees.
  • Exhibit knowledge and compliance of Utah liquor laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least 2 years of service experience in a full service restaurant required. Experienced in service of wine, liquors, and beer desired. Prior experience with Point of Sale system desired. Prior experience with service banking and basic accounting skills desired.
  • Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have considerable schedule flexibility
