Job summary

John Deere Waterloo Works Foundry is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Repair professional to perform maintenance and repair of foundry buildings and equipment, supporting foundry operations in a team environment. Responsibilities include plumbing, HVAC, painting, sheet metal work, and servicing power equipment.

Minimum qualifications include 18+ years old, high school diploma or equivalent, and 1+ year of relevant experience; preferred candidates have NCRC and 3+ years manufacturing background.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. or NCRC.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing work experience.
• 1 year of experience with plumbing/HVAC, welding, or sheet metal forming tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe work environment per OSHA rules for industrial equipment.
• Perform general plumbing repair and maintenance.
• Perform general heating and ventilation repair and maintenance.
• Perform general building repair and maintenance.
• Perform sheet repair and maintenance as required.
• Perform painting as required.
• Maintain and repair gas/electrical industrial trucks and equipment.
• Service batteries and perform adjustments/repairs.
• Operate and service equipment and manage waste safely.
• Support team members and work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain clean work area and perform related duties.
• Work shifts as assigned by seniority.
