Job summary

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry - Crookston is seeking a Foundry Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a high-temperature foundry setting. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, weld and fabricate, and document all maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial equipment, safety practices, reads electrical schematics, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical certification or an associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment is desired.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnosing electrical issues including motors, controls, sensors, switches, and wiring.
• Performing preventive and predictive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Working around foundry equipment where things get hot.
• Repairing and maintaining production machinery, conveyors, pumps, furnaces, molding equipment, and other foundry equipment.
• Welding, fabrication, machining, and general maintenance as needed.
• Finding the root cause of equipment problems and avoiding repeat failures.
• Completing maintenance documentation and keeping records up to date.
• Responding quickly and safely to equipment breakdowns.
• Following safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
• Collaborating with Production and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
