Job summary

CPP Corporation, Albany, OR, seeks a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support control systems powering an investment casting foundry. You’ll work with PLC-based controls, sensors, and safety circuits, focusing on reliability and automation.

Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs and Ignition/SCADA is valued. Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Oregon LME license. On-site role with collaboration across Maintenance, Engineering, and IT.

Qualifications

• Design, implement, and maintain PLC control systems for foundry equipment and utilities.
• Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC platforms and ladder logic.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, control loops, and safety systems.
• Ignition SCADA or Inductive Automation experience preferred.
• Foundry or metals industry experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PLC control systems for foundry process equipment and facility utilities.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix systems.
• Support plant instrumentation and safety circuits in high‑temperature processes.
• Lead modernization projects including PLC/HMI upgrades.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT, and Engineering on optimization.
