Job summary

CPP Corporation, a leading titanium castings and components supplier, seeks a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in Albany, OR. The role focuses on PLC-based control systems, plant instrumentation, and reliability for high-temperature foundry processes.

Responsibilities include PLC programming (AB), instrumentation support, SCADA integration, and modernization projects while collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT, and Engineering. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred; equivalent relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Oregon LME license or higher preferred; ability to meet licensing requirements after hire is expected.
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, or PLC controls; foundry or investment casting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain PLC control systems for foundry process equipment and facility utilities.
Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix systems using ladder logic and related control languages.
Support plant instrumentation including sensors, transmitters, actuators, and safety circuits used in high-temperature industrial processes.
Integrate or support Ignition SCADA systems; experience with Inductive Automation tools is preferred.
Lead modernization projects, including PLC/HMI upgrades and migration of legacy control platforms.
Improve equipment reliability and process stability across melting, shell building, leaching, heat treat, and critical foundry operations.
Create and maintain wiring diagrams, loop drawings, instrumentation schematics, and engineering documentation.
Oversee contractors and integrators during instrumentation installations, commissioning, and system upgrades.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT, and Engineering on process optimization, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
