Job summary

Intel in Oregon's Hillsboro area is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Systems Software Development Engineer to design and debug software for automated material handling and storage systems in a cleanroom environment. The role focuses on improving AMHS performance and ensuring seamless integration of new manufacturing introductions across Intel Foundry facilities.

The candidate will work with firmware, drivers, operating systems, and database platforms, supporting startup and qualification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering with 3+ years of work experience.
• Master's degree with 2+ years of work experience.
• 1+ years of Model-Based problem solving experience.
• 1+ years of CAD/CAM/CAE experience using AutoCAD; SolidWorks or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own, design, develop, test, validate, debug, and sustain software for AMHS.
• Collaborate with firmware, drivers, OS, and database platforms to improve system performance.
• Support integration, installation, qualification, and startup of AMHS equipment.
• Enable automated movement and storage of wafers and reticles across Oregon campuses.
• Troubleshoot issues, manage escalations, and drive timely resolutions.
