Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks an alloy technician for our Wickliffe, OH foundry. You will coordinate alloy issuance, perform inventories, segregate revert, and maintain cribs with cleanliness.

This role requires physical work (lifting up to 100 lb), strong communication, organization, and flexibility for weekend coverage. Towmotor experience preferred; on-call as needed to support cast schedules.

Qualifications

• Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be well organized and able to self direct daily activities.
• Capable of strenuous physical activity associated to revert and alloy handling.
• Must be capable of handling ingots of up to 100 pounds.
• Towmotor experience preferred.
• Successful candidate must be capable of being on call for alloy related issues, have flexibility in hours and available for weekend coverage as foundry cast schedule dictates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate issuance of alloy to the foundry on a daily basis.
• Perform physical alloy inventories as needed.
• Process and segregate revert.
• Maintain alloy and revert cribs in terms of segregation/organization and general cleanliness of the area.
• Cut and weld changes as needed.
• Maintain the master heat database for production, P/N's and engineering special lots.
• Clean pipe in ingots as needed.
• Act as back-up for other alloy technicians.
• Assist Foundry with supplies inventory control.
