Sei Labs is seeking a Trading Surveillance Analyst to join our founding market-regulation function in NYC. You’ll monitor activity, investigate alerts, and help build procedures as the exchange launches.

Role starts hands-on with clear path to leadership as the team grows, with a 24/7 coverage model and remote-first environment. Strong analytical, communication, and regulatory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in trade or market surveillance at an exchange or regulator.
• Hands-on experience investigating surveillance alerts, ideally in Nasdaq SMARTS or comparable platforms.
• Working knowledge of manipulative and disruptive trading patterns and how to evidence them.
• Experience with digital assets investigations, on-chain analysis, and traditional instruments.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication with external FCMs and clearing members.
• Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time and post-trade activity for manipulation, fraud and disruptive trading practices.
• Triage and investigate alerts in the surveillance platform and document reasoning clearly.
• Run participant inquiry workflows and work with FCMs and clearing members to resolve cases.
• Escalate potential violations and prepare case files for review and inquiries.
• Help design case-management flow, alert tuning, and automation for scaling.
• Contribute to written surveillance procedures and core principle readiness.
• Own high-volume first-line alert review and gradew to broader ownership.
• Cover 24/7 market responsibilities, including weekend or off-hours rotations.
