Sei Labs, a unicorn startup in NYC building the fastest EVM blockchain for trading, seeks a Trading Surveillance Analyst as a founding member of the DCM market regulation function. You will monitor exchange activity, investigate alerts, and help design the surveillance program as the team grows.

The role starts hands-on with potential path to leadership. You will work with external FCMs and clearing members, document findings, and help scale processes for a 24/7 market.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in trade or market surveillance at an exchange or regulator is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience investigating surveillance alerts in a surveillance platform.
• Experience with digital assets investigations and traditional financial instruments is important.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication with external FCMs and clearing members.
• Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation habits.
• Comfort with ambiguity and building processes where none exist yet.
• Ability to work from approved security devices and environments with information barriers.

Responsabilités

• Monitor real-time and post-trade activity for potential manipulation, fraud and disruptive trading practices.
• Triage and investigate alerts, reconstruct orders and trades, document reasoning clearly.
• Run inquiry workflows with broker explanation requests and gather information from FCMs.
• Escalate violations and prepare case files for enforcement and inquiries.
• Help design case-management flow and alert tuning to scale with volume.
• Contribute to written surveillance procedures and Core Principle readiness.
• Own high-volume first-line alert review and expand investigative ownership.
• Participate in 24/7 coverage which may include weekend or off-hours rotations.
