Job summary

Ultimate Asset, based in Brooklyn, New York, seeks a Founding Sales Lead (Player-Coach) to own a 100% new business SMB sales motion selling to independent hotel owners and operators. You will write the playbook, own pipeline and forecasting, and hire/coach the first sales team.

Expect to be in the office 4 days a week in Brooklyn, leading an early GTM story with equity as part of the package. Ideal candidates have 3–10 years achieving quota in high-velocity SMB motions and a knack for

Qualifications

• 3–10 years in sales, consistently beating quota in a short-cycle, high-volume SMB or mid-market motion
• Built or rebuilt a sales motion before - first sales hire, team lead or playbook author
• Coached reps and can show the improvement in their numbers
• Highly personable - relationship-led, emotional sale
• Still want to sell yourself, and happy to do whatever it takes to hit the number
• Hospitality / hotel tech, vertical SaaS experience is a big plus (not essential)
• Not for you if your background is mainly six-figure enterprise deals with six-month sales cycles - SMB sell

Responsibilities

• Player-coach - carry your own number while building and leading the sales team
• 100% new business, selling SMB deals to independent hotel owners and operators
• Write the playbook - messaging, qualification, objection handling and handoff to Customer Success
• Own pipeline, forecasting and the weekly operating rhythm
• Hire, onboard and coach the AEs and GTM associates
