Job summary
Retell AI is hiring a Founding Sales Engineer to drive adoption of Voice AI from first technical conversations through production deployment. You will partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Retell's founders to design enterprise Voice AI solutions, build proofs of concept, and guide customers through technical validation.
This role sits at the intersection of sales engineering, solution architecture, applied AI, and enterprise software.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Strong fundamentals across APIs, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and software architecture.
- Experience presenting to engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
- Experience building demos, prototypes, or proofs-of-concept.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle from discovery to production handoff.
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer architecture and goals.
- Develop technical win strategies for enterprise opportunities.
- Present technical solutions to engineers and senior stakeholders.
- Define repeatable technical sales processes and contribute to product roadmap feedback.
