Job summary

Boost Robotics is building autonomous systems to monitor and maintain digital infrastructure. The Founding Robotics Software Engineer will develop core software for robot operation, spanning perception, control, and deployment at customer sites in fast-paced environments.

You will work across the robotics stack, optimize performance in C++/Python, and contribute to scalable telemetry/monitoring while collaborating with a small, experienced team in Cambridge, MA. Relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Background in robotics, CS, or EE.
• Experience deploying robots in high reliability environments.
• Familiar with containerization, DevOps, or edge/cloud infra.
• Strong C++ and Python performance optimization.
• Ability to work in uncertain, shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build core software enabling robots to operate reliably.
• Work across robotics stack driven by need or interest.
• Write production-grade code with strong tests.
• Develop low-latency scalable logging, telemetry, monitoring.
• Profile and deploy edge-optimized control/perception.
• Travel to customer sites for deployments and debugging.
