Job summary

New Lantern is seeking its Founding Recruiter to own the full recruitment lifecycle across engineering, product, sales, and operations. You will build scalable processes from the ground up and partner with the CEO and leadership to shape our hiring strategy.

You will own sourcing through close, design roles with hiring managers, and craft a compelling candidate experience while tracking metrics to continuously improve. This is a high-impact, early-stage role at a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of recruiting experience in a fast-paced startup or tech environment.
• Proven success hiring across technical and non-technical roles (engineering, product, sales, operations).
• Strong sourcing ability and creative approach to finding talent.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, juggling multiple open roles.
• A passion for startups and building recruiting from scratch.
• Experience scaling teams (10 → 50+ employees) is a plus; ATS familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, product, sales, and operations.
• Partner with hiring managers to define roles, write descriptions, and set recruiting strategies.
• Build top-of-funnel from scratch using LinkedIn, referrals, and creative channels.
• Deliver an excellent candidate experience at every stage.
• Track recruiting metrics and continuously improve processes.
• Establish foundational recruiting systems, processes, and tools.
• Run first-round screens and evaluate candidates for culture add and early-stage fit.
• Represent New Lantern's mission and culture to the talent market.
