Job summary

Ultra is seeking a seasoned product leader to own the customer experience across Ultra's software ecosystem. You will define roadmaps, prototype with Cursor or Claude Code, and work on-site in New York City with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years shipping great software products.
• Experience with hardware or hardware-adjacent products - robotics, devices, industrial, medical, automotive, or logistics.
• Fluency with agile product development and working day to day with engineering teams.
• Comfortable analyzing product and operational data to decide what to build next.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap: Decide what we build for customers and in what order, and defend those decisions with evidence.
• Embed on-site with associates, supervisors, and operators to observe real usage and incorporate insights into shipped products.
• Design and prototype: go from problem to working interface, build, and demo to customers; iterate.
• Ship with engineering: prioritize and justify choices with the software team from prototype to production.
• Own the hardware/software seam: address latency, faults, teleop handoffs, safety states; treat as product problems.
• Serve every user type: create a single platform that works for warehouse staff and executives.
• Support GTM: join customer calls, demos, and pilots; translate work into value for customers.
• Communicate externally: clearly describe what we’re building to customers, partners, and the world.
