Job summary

Ultra is seeking its first product hire to own the customer experience end to end and define the roadmap for our software ecosystem. You will work across hardware and software teams, spending time on warehouse floors to learn how our robots and software are actually used, then translate those insights into shipped features.

Location: on-site in New York City with frequent travel. You’ll shape what product means at Ultra, prioritize specs, and build a platform that scales from tens to thousands

Qualifications

• Must ship great software products with 5–10+ years of experience.
• Experience working with hardware or hardware-adjacent products.
• Fluency with Agile product development and close collaboration with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and defend decisions with evidence.
• Be the voice of the customer, embedding with users on-site.
• Design and prototype directly, iterating with customers.
• Ship with engineering: move from prototype to production with clear priorities.
• Own the hardware/software seam, addressing latency, faults, and safety states.
• Serve every user type with a single, scalable platform.
• Support GTM by helping sales and leadership translate vision into value.
• Communicate clearly about what we're building to customers and partners.
