Job summary

Truelogic is recruiting a Founding Product Engineer for its AI-native financial system startup. You will own critical customer problems from inception to deployment, building an AI-powered financial platform.

You will work directly with founders and finance teams to design user experiences, architect cross-stack solutions, and establish core engineering culture. The ideal candidate is autonomous, product-minded, and thrives in ambiguous, early-stage environments, delivering complex software that

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production software.
• Experience across frontend and backend using React/TypeScript and Python.
• Strong product sense and ability to move between strategy and implementation.
• Curiosity to learn fintech/domain rules and accounting.
• Excellent communication with founders and customers.
• Experience building AI agents or MCP is a plus.
• Background in fintech, accounting, payments, or financial data pipelines preferred.
• Prior ownership of a product area in an early-stage startup is highly preferred.
• Experience designing APIs and distributed workflows with strong security.

Responsibilities

• Talk with founders and finance teams to define product solutions.
• Design and build full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, AI, data, and integrations.
• Develop AI finance agents to automate invoicing, collections, payroll, reporting, and close.
• Architect infrastructure with permissions, audit trails, observability, and AI evaluation.
• Integrate with banking, accounting, payroll, payment and communication platforms like QuickBooks, Plaid, and Stripe.
• Create intuitive UIs translating financial data into actionable insights.
• Ship features to production, observe usage, and iterate from real feedback.
• Help shape the company’s foundational engineering culture and standards.
