Arceus Legal is hiring a Founding Product Engineer to build the platform reinventing how legal work gets done. This in-person role sits in San Francisco beside attorneys and AI engineers, turning real legal judgment into software that ships fast with high quality.

You will own features end to end, ship with urgency, and help set engineering standards as the team grows, with strong product instincts and the ability to move fast in a high-ambition environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years building and shipping production software
• You have built something with AI/LLMs, either in a job or on your own
• You own features end to end and make sound engineering trade-offs
• You are comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment

Responsibilities

• Build and own core product features across the stack from data models to interfaces used daily
• Partner with AI engineers and attorneys to turn workflows into reliable software
• Make pragmatic architecture decisions that enable fast progress
• Own quality and shipping reliability in production
• Help define engineering culture, standards, and hiring as the team grows
• Move work to finish line when customer experience matters
