About the Role

This is a founding product engineering seat at a early-stage B2B SaaS startup building tools for merchants and the e-commerce ecosystem. You will own the full product loop, from identifying the problem to shipping the solution, with direct influence over what gets built and why. It is a role for someone who wants the whole surface, not a slice of it.

What You'll Do

• Own features end-to-end across frontend and backend, from problem definition through to production.
• Work directly with merchants and customers: join calls, review session replays, and develop a firsthand feel for their pain points.
• Make product and UX decisions, not just implementation ones, often as the primary person who has thought deeply about a given flow.
• Hold a high bar on interface craft, ensuring the UI feels considered and intentional.
• Keep the codebase clean, well-structured, and welcoming for the engineers who come after you.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, comfortable owning both frontend and backend layers.
• A track record of shipping product features end-to-end without a spec handed to you, from problem framing to production.
• Background at a company known for high engineering standards, whether a major tech company or a top-tier startup.
• A portfolio or examples demonstrating strong product and UI craft, not just working code.
• Experience at a growth-stage, VC-backed startup.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Strong CS fundamentals, ideally from a rigorous academic background.
• Familiarity with the e-commerce or Shopify ecosystem is a plus.
• Prior founding experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $150,000 to $350,000 USD annually, plus equity. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
