Job summary

True Talent Solutions Partners in New York is seeking its founding product designer for an early-stage AI insurtech team. You will own the user experience for claims workflows and dashboards used by operators and leaders.

You’ll translate customer needs with analytics, research, and discovery; collaborate with product and engineering; build AI-enabled experiences and establish a design system to scale enterprise-grade UI.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of product design experience in technology companies.
• Early-stage startup experience as a founding designer or first design hire.
• A portfolio demonstrating UX-first work on complex, data-rich software used regularly by operators.
• Experience simplifying workflows through behavioral data, product analytics, and user research.
• Hands-on prototyping experience with AI-assisted tools such as Claude or Lovable.
• Insurance, claims, healthcare, or other compliance-heavy domain experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UX across claims workspaces and reporting dashboards for operational teams and leaders.

About the Role

Join a small, early-stage AI insurtech team as its founding product designer. You will shape the user experience for software that helps insurance teams manage complex claims workflows, making everyday work clearer and more efficient.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end UX across claims workspaces and reporting dashboards for operational teams and leaders.

What We’re Looking For

• Early-stage startup experience as a founding designer or first design hire.

• A portfolio demonstrating UX-first work on complex, data-rich software used regularly by operators.

• Experience simplifying workflows through behavioral data, product analytics, and user research.

• Hands-on prototyping experience with AI-assisted tools such as Claude or Lovable.

• Insurance, claims, healthcare, or other compliance-heavy domain experience is helpful, as is experience designing AI and human-in-the-loop workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $170,000 to $220,000 annually. U.S. work authorization is required. Visa transfers may be considered, but new visa sponsorship is not available.

On-site, five days per week in New York, New York.
