Small businesses, such as community pharmacies and independent auto dealers, are the heart of the US economy. However — due to the rise of AI, digital economy, private equity consolidation, and inflationary pressures — a massive operational gap is forming between these SMBs and larger enterprises / tech-forward industries.

Affiniti is building the AI CFO (financial intelligence, SMB cards, banking, and more) to revive backbone industry SMBs. And by white-labeling with trade unions/associations, they became one of the fastest growing fintech start-ups, growing from $0 to $7.5M ARR in about a year of launch.

They recently closed an unannounced Series A from some of the biggest investors in Silicon Valley, bringing their total funding to $80M.

This role is onsite, five days a week in our NYC Flatiron location.

About This Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll transform sophisticated technology — from AI automation to intelligent dashboards — into intuitive experiences that busy SMB owners can immediately leverage without a learning curve. Your thoughtful interfaces won't just look beautiful. They'll empower pharmacy owners checking finances between patient consultations and auto dealers reviewing cash flow while closing sales. Key Responsibilities

• Take charge of the entire design process—from ideation and blueprints to storyboarding, and finally, bringing your vision to life by collaborating with our engineering team. We believe that a design you create is only as impactful as the engineer who brings it to life. You will need to design responsive, performant web applications.
• Champion our users by consistently refining and enhancing our core products and experiences. Identify opportunities for improvement and deliver ongoing value to customers.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leads to translate company strategy into prioritized initiatives on the roadmap and identify key problems to address.
• Design a variety of creative assets, including websites, user interfaces, marketing, graphics, and branding materials, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual experience across all platforms.

Qualifications

• Be an expert in Figma (strong preference), Adobe XD, and other adjacent design tools.
• Experience at an early-stage hypergrowth startup, or a highly regarded enterprise known for its exceptional designs (e.g., Robinhood).
• Strive for excellence in design, approaching it with both artistry and passion.
• Proven experience in end-to-end product design, including both UX and UI.
• Experience in visual and interaction design, UX/UI, branding and identity, and typography.
• Experience collaborating with developers and product managers to build and launch applications or software.
• Exceptional visual design skills with a deep understanding of UX principles.
• A high ownership, do what it takes mentality, that doesn’t see a job as “just a job”
• Have a high-level understanding of front-end frameworks / languages: React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS (Tailwind)
• Experience with Node.js / Express backend development (Nice to have)
