Job summary

Clera is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and own the data foundation behind pricing for a North American remote online resale marketplace. You will transform noisy sold-listing data into trustworthy comparable sales and price estimates, collaborating with the computer vision team to align item matching across sources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience building production ETL pipelines.
• Experience with noisy or adversarial data such as marketplace pricing or fraud data.
• Strong SQL and modern data tooling (dbt, Airflow/Dagster, Spark).
• Exposure to statistical estimation or pricing models.
• Ability to communicate pricing confidence and uncertainty to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in pricing intelligence or data licensing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate ingestion pipelines for sold-listing data from multiple marketplaces.
• Develop entity resolution to match listings across sources.
• Create valuation logic weighing recency, condition, and comparable sales.
• Monitor data quality and detect drift, fraud, or stale listings.
• Collaborate with computer vision to define item matching across sources.
• Evaluate data sources and pricing feeds, with build-versus-buy recommendations.
