Job summary

Clera is seeking its first engineering hire to evolve an AI-powered service into reliable infrastructure capable of scaling to a large user base. You will work directly with the founder to design scalable architecture, build the agent runtime, and align backend, infra, frontend, and AI components.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years shipping production software or founder experience, strong full-stack skills, and a track record of shipping iteratively in an early-stage team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience shipping production software or equivalent founder/early-career engineer track record.
• Experience building and operating LLM or AI agent systems used by real customers.
• Strong full-stack range from backend/infrastructure to UI.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable architecture, data models, and infrastructure for the product.
• Develop the agent runtime, including orchestration, memory, verification, and multi-agent workflows.
• Work across backend, infrastructure, frontend, and AI agents to deliver product needs.
• Set technical direction and establish engineering practices as the team grows.
• Ship improvements regularly to businesses using the product in recruiting and web agency services.
