Job summary

ShopMy is seeking its founding PR & Communications hire to build and own our earned media function. You will shape stories, channels, and voices, turning product launches and milestones into compelling media moments.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will work with founders to craft strategies and prep for interviews. Responsibilities include leading media relations, developing storytelling across channels, and building a scalable PR function with external agencies.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in communications with earned media focus.
• Strong relationships in business/trade, creator/tech, or consumer/lifestyle press.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the earned media strategy across channels.
• Develop stories, spokespeople, and channels (press, podcasts, executive social).
• Manage media relations and build relationships with reporters/editors.
• Shape thought leadership and prepare founders for interviews and speaking engagements.
• Turn product launches, partnerships, and milestones into media moments.
• Plan for rapid response and crisis communication.
• Build and scale the PR function and manage external agencies.
