Job summary

IT Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Founding Platform & Security Engineer in New York City to own AWS infrastructure, DevOps and security. This hands-on role reports to the CTO and offers equity as the company scales.

You will modernize the cloud, automate SOC 2 compliance, build CI/CD tooling, and guide security practices across a growing data platform in a high-growth AI-enabled environment. This is a rare early-stage opportunity to define the platform function and lead a future team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Platform, Infrastructure, DevOps or Security Engineering.
• Experience building infrastructure and security from scratch, ideally in a regulated B2B SaaS.
• Background in FinTech, InsurTech, HealthTech or other security-conscious industry.
• Hands-on ownership of SOC 2 compliance in production.
• Practical experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform function across AWS, DevOps and security.
• Modernize and migrate cloud infrastructure across compute, storage and networking.
• Establish platform procedures, security policies, controls and tooling from the ground up.
• Own and automate SOC 2 compliance, audit readiness, AI policies and incident response.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows and developer tooling.
• Strengthen application security across authentication, data protection and vulnerability management.
• Improve monitoring, observability and production reliability.
• Advise CTO and engineering leadership on infrastructure and security strategy.
