Job summary

EasyLlama is hiring the Founding Platform Engineer to build the technical foundation powering our AI‑driven Human Risk Management platform. You will partner with the CTO and Sr Engineering Manager to define vision, architecture, and the roadmap for Platform Engineering.

As a senior IC, you will own core systems, including billing, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability, while shaping the platform and engineering culture from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert‑level Ruby on Rails experience building production SaaS applications.
• Strong React experience and ability to work across the full stack.
• Extensive experience designing distributed systems and service‑oriented architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for Platform Engineering.
• Architect, build, and operate scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Design and operate Kubernetes infrastructure, cloud architecture, and deployment pipelines.
• Improve developer productivity through CI/CD, automation, and internal tooling.
• Build and evolve AI platform components and observability.
• Own the billing platform and integrations with HRIS and enterprise customers.
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural decisions across teams.
