Job summary

Global Placement Firm is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge to lead the community-focused pharmacy in Galena, Illinois. The role combines clinical leadership with day-to-day operations to ensure safe dispensing, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a PharmD, Illinois license, and at least 3–5 years of retail management experience, with a proven ability to build strong clinical partnerships and manage a growing

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree mandatory.
• Active Illinois pharmacist license in good standing mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience mandatory.
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and managing workflows.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with pharmacy management systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily pharmacy operations.
• Manage prescriptions processing, verification, and dispensing.
• Oversee inventory control and medication safety procedures.
• Establish and maintain workflows and QA standards.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and HIPAA adherence.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care.
