Job summary

Avivo is opening Avivo Village Central Minnesota in St. Cloud, MN, Fall 2026. As an On-Call Resident Advocate, you’ll support residents, ensure safety, and foster a dignified, healing environment within the village shelter.

You will help monitor wellness, respond to crises, distribute meals, and participate in shaping the resident experience as part of the founding team. Shift options include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or related challenges preferred.
• Lived experience is valued and welcomed.
• Commitment to harm reduction, housing-first and inclusive care models.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents with daily support, activities and wellness checks.
• Respond to crises with compassion and de-escalation.
• Monitor safety and cleanliness of rooms, bathrooms and common areas.
• Provide meals and uphold food safety standards.
• Support residents through transitions—discharge, move-in or care.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and clean facility—inside and out.
• Uphold Avivo values in every interaction.
