Job Description

The Department of OB/GYN at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified academic generalist to join our growing Division of Specialists in General OB/GYN. This role requires excellence in patient care, education, and scholarly activity. Faculty enjoy customized career growth opportunities and leadership roles available with this position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery, and complete maternal care. Co‑manage patient care with Maternal‑Fetal Medicine faculty.
  • Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher‑level administrator of a State university. Perform teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Provide academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution or equivalent highest degree in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
  • For Associate or Full Professor – normally has produced creative work, professional writing, or research in peer‑reviewed journals and is a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Must have completed Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an interest in teaching and patient care, and be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
  • Positive factors for consideration include an excellent record of clinical care with several years of teaching/supervising experience, demonstrated leadership skills, and strong communication abilities to work in a team‑based environment.
