Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is seeking its first engineering hire for an on-site role in San Francisco to turn real-world technician workflows into AI-powered tools for critical infrastructure.

You will work directly with enterprise field teams, building integrations with systems like ServiceNow, SAP, and ERP, and deploying solutions across customer environments. The role emphasizes hands-on development, field-ready deployments, and strong collaboration with product teams.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years in forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering with hands-on software development.
• Experience deploying software for enterprise/industrial/energy/defense customers and taking deployments to production with measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on experience building integrations or data pipelines across multiple systems using APIs, webhooks, ETL, or enterprise platforms like ServiceNow, SAP, ERP, or CMMS.
• Experience shipping LLM or Retrieval-Augmented Generation features into customer workflows and building evaluations to assess performance.
• Technical degree or equivalent with strong AI skills, including agentic or retrieval-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify process and knowledge gaps with field technicians and structure information for AI applications.
• Build integrations and retrieval pipelines connecting customer systems such as ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce, and learning platforms.
• Create evaluations using real-world data and collaborate with engineering to improve AI models and features.
• Own customer deployments from demonstrations to production rollout and ongoing success.
• Share field feedback with the product team and support adoption and change management in large organizations.
