Job summary

Invoca is seeking a founding Head of Forward Deployed Engineering to build and lead a team embedded in our Go-to-Market motion. You will hire and coach engineers, prioritize which deals receive engineering support, and escalate when needed to drive successful implementations.

You will partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to shape how FDEs integrate into the sales and onboarding process, while delivering measurable business impact and strong team health.

Qualifications

• Experience leading customer-facing engineering teams.
• Ability to prioritize deals and balance technical scope with business needs.
• Proven track record turning field feedback into product/engineering impact.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and manage Forward Deployed Engineers; set high standards.
• Prioritize deployment across the deal pipeline and allocate resources.
• Act as senior escalation point on strategic deals and implementations.
• Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and CS to define team touchpoints in GTM.
• Establish an operating rhythm for PoCs, debriefs, and reusable assets.
