Askdodo is an AIGC and AI Agent platform built for high freedom and extreme privacy. We run on the best open-source and open-weight models, so users get cutting-edge image, video and agent capability without being locked into one lab's stack, and without being watched or restricted while they create.
Open models are the mission. Privacy is the foundation that makes that mission trustworthy: private by design, user control, no surveillance tax.
We're hiring a founding GTM / User Growth lead, someone early in their career who owns getting users to Askdodo and keeping them, working side by side with the founders.
What you'll do
- Own the full user growth funnel: acquisition, activation, retention and conversion to paid
- Find and scale the channels that work for us (communities, SEO and AI search, creators and affiliates, partnerships, paid tests) and drop the ones that don't
- Turn open-source and privacy-focused models into growth: ride model launches and trending styles, and reach the LocalLLaMA, privacy and builder communities as a participant
- Run fast experiments on onboarding, pricing and referral loops, and report what moved the numbers
- Work with product and eng on the first-session experience and growth loops, and talk to power users to find out why they stay
- Set up the basics from scratch: tracking, dashboards, attribution and weekly growth reviews
Must-haves
- Hands-on experience growing a consumer AI or AIGC product from 0→1, with a concrete number you moved
- Proven user acquisition across at least two channels (for example SEO, creators, communities, paid, app stores)
- Comfortable with data: funnels, cohorts and basic SQL or analytics tooling
- Early-career founding energy (about 2-5 years): an IC who still runs experiments themselves, not a manager of managers
- Curious about open-source models and privacy, and able to explain them to everyday users
- Comfortable in startup culture, in SF / Bay Area or overlapping its hours
- Experience in managing communities on Reddit and X
- Built an audience, community or creator program yourself
- Some public presence (writing, demos, a community you run)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience at an AIGC, uncensored or open-model consumer app (image, video, companion or chat)
- Experience in user acquisition from regions like Japan, Taiwan, Korea, the US, Germany or the UK (language skills are a plus)
Not a fit
- Brand-only, PR-first or CMO-style marketers who don't run experiments
- Enterprise B2B demand-gen people with no consumer experience
- Senior leaders who need a large team or heavy process to get anything done
- Anyone who can't work closely with engineers on the product
