Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
SketchPro, Inc. is hiring its first marketer to discover and tell how firms use the product. You will learn from in-house architects and customers, then turn insights into stories, videos and launches for architects and firm leaders. You’ll write, edit, and ship the work yourself, using AI tools for most production.
You’ll craft messages that explain SketchPro’s value, adapt to firm sizes, and keep web copy current as the product evolves. This role is hands-on, in-person in San Francisco.
SketchPro is building the first AI architect: an AI copilot for architects and engineers that accelerates construction documentation. We work with leading architecture firms to help streamline production and deliver documentation at the highest level.
We’re hiring our first marketer to find and tell the stories of how firms use SketchPro.
SketchPro runs inside Revit, and the people who use it are experts. Architects notice quickly when marketing doesn’t understand their work. You’ll learn from our in-house architects and customers how they use the product on real projects, then turn what you learn into stories, videos, and launches for architects and firm leaders.
You’ll write, edit, and ship the work yourself, using AI tools for most of the production.
Interview customers and our in-house architects to find the story in a project: what the team was trying to do, what was hard, and what changed
Tell those stories in LinkedIn posts, videos, demos, launch announcements, and blog posts
Make case studies, before-and-after examples, and technical deep dives
Ground claims in evidence from real projects and customers
Edit and fact-check the work until it’s ready to publish
Explain what SketchPro does and which problems it solves
Adapt that message for different firm sizes and roles, including production staff, BIM managers, and principals
Keep the website copy current as the product changes
Use what you hear in customer calls and pilots to sharpen the message
Tell the story of each product release: what changed and why it matters to architects
Plan and ship launches, including the message, content, distribution, and follow-up
Get the work in front of the right people through LinkedIn, search and AI answer engines, email, PR, and referrals
Plan our presence at industry events, and host roundtables and dinners for firm leaders
Track how stories and channels contribute to demos and pilots, and use that to decide where to spend your time
Our stories help architects explain SketchPro to others at their firms
Launches show architects what changed and get firms asking for demos and pilots
Case studies and customer stories help firms evaluate SketchPro during sales conversations and pilots
We have a good read on which stories and channels bring in demos and pilots
3+ years of B2B marketing at early-stage startups
A portfolio of stories, content, campaigns, or launches you made yourself, and what your part was
You write clearly and edit your own work
You ask experts good questions and turn their answers into a story others can follow
You use AI tools for most of your production, and you can tell when the output isn’t good enough yet
You can figure out what to work on next without a marketing team around you
Storytelling and strong writing come first. You should also be comfortable getting the work out there and learning what brings people in.
Experience as an early or first marketing hire
Experience marketing a technical product to expert buyers
Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or design software, including Revit. None is required.
Experience editing video or comfort on camera
A newsletter, channel, community, or side project you built yourself
Experience with automation or no-code tools
We weigh work samples over resumes. Expect to walk us through things you’ve made and to work on a real SketchPro feature with one of our in-house architects.
