Job summary

HappyRobot in San Francisco is seeking a Founding Product Growth Engineer to own how our product is understood, positioned, and adopted in the market. You will work directly with the CTO and Head of Product to translate what we build into compelling narratives and drive adoption across buyers and users.

You will sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Sales, and Growth, shaping messaging, running launches, and testing what moves customers while building a function from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in product marketing, growth, or related role at high-growth B2B SaaS, AI, or developer-focused company.
• Proven track record of launching products or features from start to finish with strong writing.
• Experience aligning Product, Engineering, and Sales (GTM) to a single message.
• Ability to balance strategic positioning with hands-on execution (assets, testing, experiments).

Responsibilities

• Positioning & Narrative: Own how we describe our product and why it matters. Translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling messaging for each audience, and keep that story consistent across the website, launches, and sales conversations.
• Launches: Run product and feature launches end to end. Partner with Product and Engineering on timing and messaging, and make sure Sales and the field are enabled with the narrative, assets, and materials they need on day one.
• Growth & Distribution: Identify and test the channels that reach our audience. Work on activation, onboarding, and conversion messaging, run experiments across the funnel, and double down on what works.
• Customer & Market Insight: Talk to users and customers regularly to understand their needs, objections, and mental models. Track competitors and the broader landscape, and bring those insights back into product and marketing decisions.
