Job summary

OpenEd is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join a small, high-impact team building education technology solutions in a remote-friendly US setup. You will work directly with the CTO in a fullstack capacity with emphasis on frontend technologies and influence architectural decisions.

The ideal candidate will grow into a team lead role while helping us build a culture of engineering excellence, mentoring juniors, and collaborating across product and design to translate requirements into elegant

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in React, JavaScript and frontend development.
• Experience with NextJS or similar React frameworks.
• Understanding of database design and SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features using React, NextJS, and modern JavaScript.
• Architect and implement new product capabilities while improving existing ones.
• Lead technical decisions and help establish best practices and coding standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into elegant solutions.
