Job summary

Praxis, Inc. is seeking a Founding Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area to own a zero-to-one product and its infrastructure.

You will design secure connectors, runtime, and tooling used daily by developers, and you will work directly with customers on high-leverage projects. You will move fast, maintain crisp communication, and own decisions with partial information while shaping the engineering culture and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Own zero-to-one product and its infrastructure.
• Experience building enterprise-grade software for reliability.
• Comfortable making decisions with 80 percent information.

Responsibilities

• Design the agentic layer with self-checking, reflection, and verification passes.
• Experience orchestrating agentic workflows and retrieval augmented generation.
• Stand up low latency inference paths with token-level observability.
• Productionize prompt pipelines and light fine-tuning.
• Hands-on use of AI tools with clear ideas for applying AI to development, testing, data, and support.
