Job summary

Inventure in San Francisco is seeking a Founding Engineer to own end-to-end problem domains, architecting and shipping core AI infrastructure, including entity matching and durable-execution platforms. You will engage directly with customers to learn operations and translate real-world challenges into shipped solutions.

Qualifications

• Technically excellent engineer with strong CS fundamentals and a track record of shipping high-impact work.
• Evidence of fast, continuous growth and progression at strong companies.
• Autonomous and hungry, tackling hard, ambiguous problems without direction and shipping relentlessly.
• Comfortable working with Node, Python or TypeScript on distributed systems and large datasets.
• Customer-facing mindset and ability to engage buyers or suppliers on calls.
• Remarkable achievement signaling top-tier capability.
• Nice to have: experience at a strong engineering brand or AI company, or founding-engineer / forward-deployed background.
• Willing to work on site in San Francisco five days a week; relocation and visa sponsorship (H-1B, TN) considered.

Responsibilities

• Own entire problem domains end to end, such as purchase-order lifecycle, entity resolution or agentic search, architecting, building and iterating with zero hand-holding.
• Build core AI infrastructure: entity matching and resolution, product substitution via RAG, pricing discovery, and a durable-execution agent platform running distributed systems at scale.
• Get on the phone with customers directly to learn operations and turn messy real-world problems into shipped solutions.
• Work with large-scale, real-world supply-chain data to automate workflows that still run on email, PDFs and tribal knowledge.
• Set the engineering bar and culture as one of the first engineers on the team.
