Job summary

SecureVision is seeking a Founding Engineer (Lead/Staff) to own technical delivery and architecture for the AI-assisted hiring platform. You’ll work hands-on in the backend, fix urgent customer issues, and raise reliability, security, and design as we scale.

The role focuses on building an enterprise-ready backend stack with Python/FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, and GCP, while mentoring the team and shaping product engineering for AI workflows. Equity is negotiable and impact is immediate.

Qualifications

• Experience as tech lead or founding engineer on a product team.
• Strong Python backend skills and relational DB design.
• Proven ability to ship and operate production systems under pressure.
• Hands-on GCP experience including IAM and App Engine.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & technical leadership: Define and evolve the system architecture and data model.
• Customer-critical firefighting: Diagnose and fix production and integration issues.
• Backend ownership: Ship and refactor core APIs and workflows in Python/FastAPI with Postgres/Redis.
• Cloud & platform engineering: Operate in GCP and improve deployment confidence.
• Security & compliance mindset: Apply defaults for secrets handling and access control.
• Mentorship: Raise the bar with reviews, patterns, and lightweight docs.
• Applied AI product engineering: Design and iterate on LLM-powered workflows.
• AI Ops in production: Monitor, detect regressions, and ensure safety for AI paths.
